potipot island, zambales, philippines.. quite a small island, white beach, fine sand, clean water. heard that before, you'd find only a couple visitors within the island. but during the time me and my former colleagues went there, there were quite a lot of people.. but maybe it's the peak season and a lot of people are having their vacation. this island, potipot, is quite well known already anyway.
the island has no resort or any place to stay, some poeple do setup tents and camp there overnight. but i prefer not to contribute any pollution on this wonderful island. you could stay and rent a place at the candelaria zambales beach shore anyway, it's just around 5 minute boat ride to go to potipot, costs around 300-400, to and back from the island (i think it still depends on the number of people and the season you go there).. and right after you arrive on the island, you'd have to pay 50 bucks per head.
we only stayed for a short time. but this island is one must go and must be experienced even once in your life.. i just hope the people there will maintain and take good care of it..
here are some more pictures taken on the island.
