introducing, Claymore no. 47, Clare. bought this figure at ebay. i was not that satisfied with the item i received though. there are better versions of this figure i saw in the internet. very different from the figure i got. but what the heck. i like Clare. i was instantly hooked after this anime was introduced to me by my friend. then he asked me to read the manga, that according to him is way better than that of the anime version. i'm glad that i did!
the manga series is not finished yet. manga or anime lovers should check this out sometime. the plot is great. the characters are very interesting. plus majority of the characters are girls. claymores are half human half yoma (creatures) who were sent by the organization to different towns to eliminate these yoma creatures. click here to read the full plot. feel free to read the entire series here.
on this set is this series' lead character Clare. she's one of the warriors called Claymore. during her generation, she was no. 47 out of 47 claymore warriors. their number serves as their title or rank, the lower the number, the higher their rank is.
i've read that the megahouse corporation only released one character for this series. and of course it has to be none other than the progragonist of the series, No. 47 Clare. this figure belongs to 1/8 scale figures. what i like about this figure is that her arm is replacable, one was her original arm and then the other one is the arm given to her by irene. also, you can equip her huge sword on her hand, and at the same time sheath her sword on her back which for me is really cool.
there are a lot of flaws on the figure i got. the paint is weird, her silver eyes are not that realistic. their eyes turns to silver everytime they wield their yoma powers.
here are some of the photos i took of her. just used a purple bakcground, 1 light via shoot through umbrella.
Canon EOS 400D
Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8
Canon Speedlite 430 EX
most of the people refer a claymor warrior as the "silver eyed" witch. notice her eyes are painted silver.
clare with irene's right arm.
i just love how the light reflected and gave emphasis on her silver eyes.
this was her original right arm.
