first time to go to thialand. went with my good friends Darwin and Joyce. arrived in thailand march 04, 2010 late evening. and our scheduled flight for going back to the philippines was march 08, 2010 midnight. so basically, we just had 3 days for our planned adventures in thailand.
so this post would be for our itinerary on our first day in thailand.
- get us some baht (thailand local currency) to spend
- city tour
- street food galore
- book for tour packages for our 2nd and 3rd day
- siesta
- dinner cruise
for the city tour, we hired a tuk-tuk for the entire city tour for 200 baht.
first stop was a jewelry shop. tuk-tuk normally bring tourists to some jewelry shops in order for them to avail some gas coupons (free gas for them). our tuk-tuk brought us to 4, in all, jewelry shops along the city tour proper. but was only able to get 3 free gas coupons. we failed to stay that long in 1 shop because we were overly excited. LOL!
our first tour proper stop was the marble temple. although we didn't go inside the temple (25 baht entrance fee). we were able to take some pictures in front of the temple. first time is always the best experience. hehe.. so we were happy and contented with only seeing the outside structure of our first real thailand temple experience.
Wat Benchamabophit or the marble temple of thailand.
Darwin and Joyce
next stop is the famous grand palace. we didn't go inside cause the entrance fee is quite expensive. 1,500 baht per head. inside, also resides the emerald buddah.
the tourist being very excited for the city tour.

3rd stop is the reclining buddah (entrance 50 baht per head).
Wat Pho or known as
the reclining buddha

following Wat Pho we passed by the (Joyce's) giant swing on our way to the golden mountain.
Sao Ching Cha or

on our way to the golden mountain, we also passed by some streets where they sold these.
view of the Phu Khao Thong or golden mountain as we brace ourselves to climb the stairs all the way to the top

some bells
nope, we didn't make it to the top cause we were too tired LOL!
we were tired indeed
last thing we did for this day was the chao phraya river cruise (dinner) (1000 baht per head)
dinner buffet
with live band
will try to post our 2nd day thailand tour soon! :D

panagbenga 2010
first time to witness the panagbenga festival. and it has been a decade since the last time i went to baguio. here are some lousy shots i took during the grand float parade event held last february 28, 2010.
woke up at 445 in the morning.. went to the assembly site around 530 and just waited for the parade to start. we've decided to go to the assembly site in order to take decent pictures since we don't have a pass and security is very strict along session road..
entry from kapuso. hehe..
Karylle
Sex Bomb Dancers
