Nexus 7 (2013)

i've been thinking of purchasing a nexus 7 ever since all the good reviews came out.. even though the device came out earlier than some newer tablets came out months after the original nexus 7, Google's Asus made tablet remained comparable to these newer tablets..

Google recently launched the new generation nexus 7.. it's slightly narrower, thinner and lighter compared to it's predecessor, but offers the same 7.02 inch display. the specs, of course, are expected to improve, with added 5 MP rear camera, but unfortunately, still without the expandable micros sd memory card slot.

the nexus 7 2013 comes in wifi only and LTE versions. it is going to be available on august 1, 2013 on Google play store with a much higher introductory price of $229+ compared to its predecessors $199 launching selling price. the device also comes with the latest android Jelly Bean version 4.3. the battery is also slightly lower than it's predecessor with 3950 mAh (4,325 mAh on the first gen nexus 7). but according to Google, android 4.3 offers more software optimization that helps saves battery consumption.. but then again, we all know that screen display drains most of the battery and the latest generation of nexus 7 has better display compared to the original nexus 7.

here are the specifications of the new nexus 7:
